Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) is a therapy based on the science of learning and behavior. ABA is used to expand language and intraverbal abilities, achieve appropriate developmental skills, and promote socialization. The focus of ABA is to reduce and eliminate maladaptive behaviors that interfere with a child’s independence and learning.
Our ABA program has been created to have an impact on a child’s behaviors in a variety of settings which include the child’s home, school/daycare, PPEC, or in the community in general. Every child will work one on one with one of our highly trained professionals with chosen customized objectives that will be reevaluated constantly as the child meets certain objectives. ABA programs at A1A are individualized per child and conducted by a Board-Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) in Miami. An assessment of each child is conducted to tailor a program which will include the most effective intervention strategies for that child.
