Mailyn Fernandez Montoya is a highly decorated healthcare executive with nearly 25 years of experience in home health, medical management, and the behavioral health industry. She has an undying passion for ensuring that patients receive care at home with the utmost compassion and clinical expertise.
Prior to her years of service in the home health and behavioral health arena, Mailyn held a variety of leadership and administrative roles with physician practices and integrated healthcare delivery networks. Her professional journey reflects both depth and breadth, with accomplishments that have earned her the Award of Excellence in Nursing, the Award of Distinction for Health Care Law, the Award of Excellence in Health Care Administration, and the Award of Distinction in Consumer Health, all recognized by her industry peers.
Mailyn holds an Associate’s Degree in Health Care Administration, a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN), and a Master Diploma in Marriage and Family Counseling. Her passion for behavioral health was born out of personal experience, inspiring her to ensure quality, compassionate care for the pediatric population. Through her vision, dedication, and leadership, A1A Behavioral Health has become one of the fastest-growing behavioral health companies in the State of Florida.
As one of the main leaders of America Loving Care (ALC) and A1A, Mailyn has helped shape programs that provide high-quality, compassionate services to families across the community. She serves on the Parent to Parent of Miami Board of Trustees, where she advocates for meaningful change and expanded support for families navigating disability and special needs. She is also a founding organizational volunteer of the Live Like Bella® Childhood Cancer Foundation. Mailyn passionately gives of her time with the goal of eradicating childhood cancer and advocating for children affected by the disease.
Beyond her professional life, Mailyn is married and a proud mother of three. She is also a grandmother to an 8-month-old grandson and eagerly anticipating the arrival of her granddaughter in early November. Her personal journey as a parent and grandparent enriches her professional mission, infusing empathy, resilience, and heart into everything she does. In her leisure time, she enjoys traveling, shopping, and most importantly, spending time with her family.
